Friends
Alana Blanchard has many friends that she has met over the years of competing. Her best friend is
Bethany Hamilton. They have been friends since they were little girls. Alana and Bethany always hang out and surf together when they aren't competing. They both rely on eachother for courage and stength. Alana was with Bethany the day of her attack. Even though now-a-day they can't surf together all the time because of traveling, the girls still make time for eachother.
The two love the outdoors and used to play games as kids with neighborhood friends such as ding dong ditch, kick the can, and much more. To this day they both stay in close contact and surf together whenever they get the chance.
