Bethany Hamilton is an accomplished surfer with many talents! Bethany, born in Febuary of 1990, grew up and still lives in Hanalei Kauai along with her parents Tom and Cheri and two older brothers Noah and Tim. Bethany and her family are very close and support each other always.On Oct. 31 of 2003 Bethany was surfing a place called Tunnels with her best friend Alana. That morning Bethany was bit by a shark. Bethany remembers a big grey shadow right near her. She remained calm and called for help. Bethany was rushed to the hospital and put into surgery right away.
Still Bethany surfs and keeps her upbeat attitude. She is very close with Christ and wants to spread the word about God all around the world. Keep it up girl! Bethany now has her very own perfume line out, book called Soul Surfer, her own accessory line, a feature film Soul Surfer, her own jewelry line, documentary, book series, and she helps give money to World Visions and donates to multiple charities around the world!
To this day, Bethany still lives close with God and surfs competitivley in competetions around the world! Talent and determination, and a love for life and the Lord Christ!
