History of Gretchen:
I first started out with just a Bethany site that I have put on an open Hiatus. (I honestly could not shut it down) After many interested people coming to the site learning about Bethany's story I wanted to do more. Fans were also interested in Alana's career and asked if I knew any more information about her surfing career. Bethany was not the only one in the lime-light, Alana had also been in the media after the attack. Alana was also an inspiration to people out there as she is a very talented and dominant female surfer who is taking over the women's surf scene! Both of the girls have a huge surfing career that deserves attention, and soon this site was born in 2004-2005!

History of Meg:
I started out doing lots of different graphic arts and collages on Bethany Hamilton and Alana Blanchard. I have been following Soul Sisters since it opened in 2004 and have contributed numerous fanarts to the site. Some of my fanarts have been featured on BethanyHamilton.com and recently on a Christian Music website cmnscoop.com. Also many different fansites for Bethany and Alana have picked up my work too. After joining Soul Sisters in January of 2008 my work has been getting bigger and better and I will continue to work in the graphic arts department as I love doing this.
